Members and roles
Your workspace role — owner, admin, member, guest, or viewer — determines what you can do across NRNS. See Workspaces for what each role means; this page covers what that translates to inside Tasks.
What each role can do
Section titled “What each role can do”- Owners and admins can do everything: create and manage projects, teams, labels, and templates, and manage workspace settings.
- Members — the standard role — can create tasks, create projects, create teams, and join any team on their own.
- Guests can create tasks, but only within teams they’re already a member of. They can’t create projects or teams, or join teams themselves.
- Viewers have read and comment access only.
A workspace admin can adjust two of these defaults from workspace security settings: who’s allowed to send invites, and who’s allowed to create teams. See Workspace security.
Team membership
Section titled “Team membership”Teams sit inside a workspace, and belonging to one gives you access to its tasks and stints. If your role allows it (owners, admins, and members — not guests), you can join a team yourself from that team’s Members settings page with Join team. You can leave a team the same way at any time, unless you’re its last remaining owner.
Adding or removing other people, or changing their role within a team, is handled by a team manager or a workspace admin.
Per-member app access
Section titled “Per-member app access”Whether you can open Tasks at all — for the whole workspace, or just for you — is controlled by a workspace admin from the Console, not from inside Tasks. See Moving between apps for what it looks like if an app is turned off for you.
