Members
The Members page lists everyone in the workspace, plus any invites still waiting to be accepted.
Inviting members
Section titled “Inviting members”Under Pending invites, paste one or more email addresses and pick a role, then send the invites. You can only offer roles you’re allowed to assign yourself — for example, an admin can invite members, guests, and viewers, but not other admins or owners. Each pending invite can be resent or revoked from the same page. Whether members-in-general are also allowed to send invites (not just owners and admins) is a separate setting — see Security.
Use the role dropdown next to a member to change their role. You can only change the role of someone your own role outranks, and you can’t leave the workspace without an owner — the last remaining owner can’t be demoted or removed. See Workspaces for what each role means.
Removing members
Section titled “Removing members”Removing a member takes away their access to the workspace immediately. It’s permanent — there’s no undo — so you’re asked to type the member’s email or name to confirm. You can’t remove yourself this way, and, as with roles, you can’t remove the last owner.
Per-member app access
Section titled “Per-member app access”Click Apps on a member’s row to open their app-access panel. It lists every app in the suite with a switch for that member, controlling that person’s access specifically without affecting anyone else. In Tasks, turning a member’s switch off shows them the same “isn’t enabled — ask your workspace admin” screen as a workspace-wide disable.
A few things you can’t do here:
- You can’t restrict an app that’s already off for the whole workspace — its switch is disabled with an “Off workspace-wide” hint, since there’s nothing left to restrict. Turn it on workspace-wide first in App access if you want to grant it, then restrict individual members here.
- You can’t restrict your own access, or an owner’s.
